Starting My Fitness Journey: A Beginners Perspective
I've never really been into fitness or anything like that. It's never been a top priority for me. But my mentor keeps going on and on about how great fitness is, and it's starting to get on my nerves. Ever notice how when you're supposed to do something, you start seeing signs everywhere? That's been me with fitness. I keep seeing TikToks about how important it is, all the benefits beyond just health. And I keep spotting tweets, especially from this super buff guy obsessed with not aging. He's got some wild routines with these fancy machines I can't even figure out. His name's Bryan Johnson if you want to look him up.
After all these signs, I decided to give fitness a shot. We're not best friends yet, but I'm easing into it.
For my diet, I'm trying to cut sugar way down, drink more water (I barely used to), and eat well without starving. I'm aiming to work out at least four days a week.
I'm starting with the least friction possible—simple, comfy sneakers, basic newbie routines at home, and that's it. No fancy "gym bro" stuff to buy. I work out after work, and at first, I was too lazy to go upstairs for my clothes, so I started leaving my gear ready in the living room to make it easier. That's what I mean by minimizing friction—slowly removing barriers as I get used to it and make it part of my life.
Maybe it's not the recommended way, but I want to start small and gradually build up. Soon enough, you'll see me with my magic powders and fancy drinks everywhere. I don't have a specific weight goal; I just want to stick with fitness all year. I'll learn more as I go and add new goals, methods, and maybe even some secret hacks.
Honestly, I'm doing this because I'm curious about what the "fitness Roberto" can do. I don't even know yet, but I'm excited to find out and see what I'm capable of. If you've got any advice for a fitness newbie, drop it in the comments.
No drama.
No fear.
